Arianna Calkins

LCSW | Equine Specialist

Arianna earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree from Northern Illinois University in 2017. She earned her Masters in Social Work degree from George Williams College of Aurora University in 2020. Arianna worked for the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford for 20 years working in a supportive role for all departments at the Rockford campus.

She is a licensed clinical social worker who has worked in a clinical setting since 2020, working with ages 14 and up. She partners with individuals to work through life’s challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, grief, ADHD, LGBTQ+, and adults with level 1 autism using best practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, psycho-education, narrative, solutions focused, and equine assisted psychotherapy. She is certified in Eagala model equine assisted psychotherapy, partnering with clients, an equine specialist, and horses which empowers clients to make positive changes in their lives.

Most important to Arianna is being with her clients with whatever they are confronting. It is important to her to help clients feel safe, they have someone that understands them, and to companion them towards improved wellness.
Arianna’s perspective is that it’s never too late to make a change and positive change happens when a person feels supported.
