Individual Counseling

Anxiety

Anxiety is a natural response to stress characterized by feelings of worry, nervousness, or fear about future events or situations. It can manifest as a constant, excessive concern that is difficult to control and may interfere with daily activities.

Depression

Depression is a common and serious condition characterized by persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and a lack of interest or pleasure in activities once enjoyed. It can affect how a person thinks, feels, and handles daily activities, such as sleeping, eating, or working.

Addiction

Addiction is a chronic and complex condition characterized by the compulsive use of substances or engagement in behaviors despite harmful consequences. It involves an intense focus on using a certain substance, such as alcohol or drugs, or engaging in a particular behavior, like gambling, to the point that it takes over a person’s life.

Trauma

Trauma is an emotional response to a distressing or disturbing event that overwhelms an individual’s ability to cope. It can result from experiences such as accidents, natural disasters, abuse, or violence, and may lead to lasting adverse effects on mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

Grief

Grief is a natural response to loss, encompassing a range of emotions such as sadness, anger, guilt, and confusion. It can be triggered by various types of loss, including the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or significant life changes. Grief is a deeply personal experience, and everyone copes with it differently.

School / Social Difficulties

School and social difficulties encompass a range of challenges that children and adolescents may encounter in educational and social settings. These difficulties can manifest in various ways, including academic struggles, trouble making friends, bullying, social anxiety, and difficulty communicating or interacting with peers. Such challenges can impact a young person’s self-esteem, academic performance, and overall well-being.

Disordered Eating

Disordered eating refers to a wide range of irregular eating behaviors that may negatively impact one’s physical and mental health. These behaviors can include restrictive dieting, binge eating, purging, or obsessive thoughts about food and body image. Disordered eating patterns often stem from a complex interplay of psychological, social, and biological factors and can lead to serious health consequences if left untreated.
